Stockings in winter: When temperatures fall, we have various legwear styles that are warming and also provide that extra energy kick. Gently warming in 50 DEN appearance or opaque and ultra warm at 100 DEN – our range includes the perfect stockings for every woman on cold days and evenings. Even more comfort is supplied by the innovative plush knit technique that creates a thermal effect. Warm feet and legs and the comforting compression effect: This is how women can feel really comfortable in winter.

Stockings in summer: Feel light and pretty all summer long: Our ultra-thin women’s stockings in our Invisible and Translucent collections in delicate skin tones are practically invisible and yet still conceal perfectly naturally any little skin irregularities. They also feel super soft against your skin and support the legs with gentle compression. The extra light and pleasant-feeling yarns deliver optimum comfort and lightness. For the cuff we love a wide, high contrast style: This means our knee-highs stay up reliably and do not cut in. The contrast color is a design highlight for women who confidently go their own way and love little accentuating touches.

Travel stockings: All our ITEM m6 knee-high stockings and stay-up stockings feature gentle compression which stimulates blood circulation – that means all the products in our collections are also ideally suited for long journeys. Sustainability has been an important concept for ITEM m6 for many years. Along with sustainable production and environmentally responsible resource management in our day-to-day work, two aspects are particularly key to our values: We produce our collections 100 % in Europe – that keeps transportation to a minimum and saves large quantities of CO2 emissions. And we use only the best materials for our legwear and bodywear: Our stockings, bodies and other products last longer than comparable products, very much in the spirit of green clothing.

Correct care of ITEM m6 legwear

Our legwear is particularly long-lasting due to the innovative yarn technologies we use. With a little love and care you can extend their life even longer: Our stockings should be washed at max. 30°C/104°F with mild detergent (do not use fabric softener) and dried on a gentle program. A delicates laundry bag is ideal to place your items in for washing, so that they are protected from any sharp components of other garments like zippers or metal buttons. And of course, hand washing is the gentlest method of all for our tights and stockings.

What are women’s stockings?

What is actually considered as women’s stockings? A stocking is a piece of clothing for the foot and leg that adheres closely to the form of the leg and covers only part of it – in contrast to tights, which fully cover the thighs and buttocks. Women’s stockings can therefore include socks, knee-high stockings and also those that reach the thighs – usually known as stay-up stockings. Women’s stockings today come in a huge range of colors and materials and are available for all sorts of occasions, from short sneaker socks to white stay-up stockings to complete a bridal outfit. In our collection you will find women’s stockings with that certain something: Thanks to compression they provide the wearer with support and help create lighter legs all day long.

When are women’s stockings worn?

When it comes to socks and sneaker socks it is very clear: With sports shoes, lace-up shoes or boots, women need to feel warm and have a secure, non-slip stance. Knee-high stockings and stay-up stockings are a question of personal taste and, of course, outfit dependent:

• Knee-highs work well when it is warmer as a great solution under long dresses or pants that you want to wear with stilettos, pumps or court shoes. 

• In summer many women favor knee-highs to avoid getting blisters on the feet from closed shoes.

• Stay-up stockings that go to the upper thigh and are worn without a garter belt have long been the hallmark of outstanding outfits. They work perfectly with corsets with suspenders, but in summer are also great with shorter skirts and dresses – airy and not too much.

• The women’s stockings by ITEM m6 also deliver another benefit: the gentle compression which even in warm weather guarantees light legs and a pleasant feeling without swelling.
